Problem Description:

When running Sybase IQ database RESTORE, you see the following error:

Could not execute statement.
.db or .log file exists. Full restore will not be done.

Problem Resolution:

This error usually appears when either <IQDB.db> or <IQDB.log> file exists while performing DB restore on IQ database named <IQDB>. In such cases, remove these files from the location and start the IQ database restore again and it should be ok.
